Other Information about Saturday:

ê The condensed schedule with only our students is on the back of this paper.  Please realize that ALL TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE!!!  Individual Districts tend to have quite a few drops – be sure to tell parents that you may be performing early.  You’ll want to be sure to check your centers right away and see which ones have drops.
ê Please go watch your teammates unless you are competing.  Do not just stay in the gym (or wherever the “holding area” will be).
ê I will NOT be able to make everyone’s performances.  I will go to seniors first (and even then I won’t get to all the seniors) and get to as many overall as possible, but (as you can see) many of the times overlap or are so close together that it’s impossible (until someone shows me how to be in more than one place at once J).
ê If you don’t want me to watch you (which is perfectly okay) please just let me know on Saturday (the sooner the better, actually, so I can plan my schedule for Saturday)
ê NO PHOTOGRAPHING OR VIDEOTAPING ALLOWED WITHOUT WRITTEN CONSENT FROM THE STATE OFFICE.  STUDENTS AND TEAM COULD BE DISQUALIFIED IF THAT OCCURS!!  We have NEVER been allowed to photograph or videotape a performance in speech.
ê Our school codes are 70 for high school and 71 for 9th grade.
ê Bus leaves school at 6:00 am.  DO NOT BE LATE!!!!!
ê Do NOT wear jeans – “game day” attire (nice pants and shirts) – NO skirts/dresses for events that require you to move around (you know what your event requires)
ê Do not wear anything with Red Oak on it
ê Bring money for any food – including lunch.  (You can bring food for lunch if you wish.)  We will be eating at the school for lunch.  We’ll stop somewhere for supper – we won’t leave the school until after final results are posted and I can get the comment sheets.
ê Do not plan on leaving with parents unless there is a prior commitment.  You need to let me know ahead of time, please.  It’s important to stay to encourage and support your teammates.   If you leave with a parent, they have to sign an official paper BEFORE Saturday.
ê Parents are encouraged to attend if at all possible.  There is a $3 entrance fee for non-competitors.  Please remind them no taping or pictures of performances.
ê I have all the comment sheets needed – YOU NEED TO GET THEM FROM ME BEFORE YOU COMPETE!!!!  Braden will be helping to make sure you get them and an extra copy will be in a folder in the gym – in the Theatre Rocks bag – so if you don’t see me or Braden, you should be able to find it there.
ê Don’t forget the things you need for Saturday:
o  Acting: Script (if you need it to practice)
o  After Dinner: Notecard (if you need it)
o  Expository: Visual aids, Notecard (if you need it)
o  Review: Notecard (if you need it), any electronic things you need
